Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how truthping ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: the email address and password (stored only as a salted hash) you provide when you create an account.
- Subscription and billing information: your plan, subscription status, and billing identifiers. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Configuration data: the alert destinations (webhook URLs, Telegram bot tokens and chat IDs) and watchlist handles you add, so we can deliver alerts on your behalf.
- Usage and delivery logs: records of alert delivery attempts, response codes, and latency for your destinations.
- Analytics data: if you consent to cookies, we collect anonymized usage statistics via Google Analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device/browser type).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To deliver the alerts and notifications you configure.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send you essential service communications (e.g. password resets).
- To monitor, debug, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Data Sources
truthping monitors publicly available posts from Truth Social. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Truth Social, Trump Media & Technology Group, or any account holder we monitor. Public post data is accessed through third-party data providers and is provided "as is".
4. Service Providers We Share Data With
We share data only with providers that help us operate the Service:
- Stripe: payment processing and billing.
- Resend: transactional email delivery.
- Google Analytics: usage analytics (only with your consent).
- Telegram and your own webhook endpoints: destinations you explicitly configure to receive alerts.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. We use analytics cookies only after you accept them via our cookie banner. You can decline analytics cookies at any time, and declining will not affect your ability to use the Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the US, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the US.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
